Maria and Adrian offer the dogs the best conditions during the long journey through many countries. custom made and permanently installed boxes, air condition in summer and warm air in winter as well as soft and changeable pad to travel on.

There can be up to 30 animals in the car and it leaves when all cages are reserved for animals that are offered a home.

Maria and Adrian therefore offers other charities , and other volunteers to help with transporting their dogs and cats through these countries to new safe home. As to Maria and Adrian, the most important thing is to be able to secure the animals wherever they come from. You can read more about this via this link.

The transport runs through Germany, on a long route where adopters and volunteers receive and pick up dogs along this route. They come from many countries. Germany, of course, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark and England.

To help as many animals as possible, it is therefore important to support and help with the transportation in all ways possible.
If you have the opportunity to help and support with petrol, or for other expenses that are around such long transports and many hours on the roads, then there is a great need for help. That also requires maintenance of the car, workshop expenses and the like.
Contributions are also needed to have another car of a similar standard made in the form of interior design and construction of cages, etc., so that when one car is being repaired, the other can be in used.

If you want to adopt a dog from Maria, you must follow her facebook page. It can feel like a very unusual way to adopt a dog. Compared to meeting a dog at a local shelter for abounded animals . Therefore, you must also follow our instructions and guidelines very carefully, as well as prepare thoroughly for such an adoption.

We are happy to help and mediate with the adoption of a dog from the shelter “Hope for the Future”. If you want to adopt a dog you can contact us by email or via private message on facebook – or send us a screenshot picture of that dog , one wishes to Maria in a private message. Although this is not the main focus of this association’s, we always want to support a dog who is offered better living conditions and a private home.

The next step is to find out when the next transport is leaving. Contact the volunteers who organize it all with Maria, you will find out when exactly your selected dog is ready with vaccines, passports, etc.

A transport group is set up for the dogs that are going to leave Romania and in this group you can follow the journey to the pick up destination of your dog.

The transport to the Nordic countries depends on how many dogs have been adopted and who can receive / pick up the dogs. It is not Maria personally who is driving , as she attends the 3-400 dogs she cares for at the shelter. But it is Maria who prepares them with passports, papers, etc. for the transport before the trip. It is often Maria’s husband Adrian and a helper who transport the animals through Europe.

They drive a specific route and the northern countries tends to be one of the last stops. We offer the service to guide you throughout the entire transport, so you can follow the journey. of your dog.

Often the volunteers have their cars full  of donations from people and they have to get this into the dog transport return to the shelter in Romania.

When the transport arrives, Adrian have the papers on which dogs are going to whom and where.
The carriage is mostly driven into a warehouse that is completely enclosed, where the dogs are taken out of their cages and into other cages in smaller cars driving them their new homes.

The dogs are then driven home to each family or you meet with your contact person on a specific point, where the dog is handed over into your care and you are now responsible for the dog’s further well-being. From here, you should have read all about the following days of dogs described elsewhere on this website.

It is very important you offer your dog water and food first thing when arriving to its new home.

Finally you should know that all of us who participate in this work do so voluntarily, in our spare time. We do not receive money for it and we are not offered any kind of compensation for our efforts. We do this to help these dogs to a better life. Without any other ulterior motive than this. In case you experience that you do not get a response right away when you want it, it is because in addition to this work, we must also make money for our own lives. We all have our own animals and family we take care for. Therefore, we hope you are patient, but of course you can always send us a reminder if we have forgotten something.

In advance thank you.
